Neymar to miss PSG game league debut over documents

Football superstar Neymar is set to miss the PSG (Paris Saint-Germain) opening game of the league because his documents did not arrive in time. Neymar, 25 joined PSG for a record fee of 222m euros (£200m) and will earn 45m euros (£40.7m) a year with around another £20 million on top in endorsement deals with the likes of Nike and others. Naymar says: –

“What I say to these people is they don’t know anything about my personal life. I was never motivated by money.

“If I was following the money, I would be somewhere else, with other clubs in other countries. I’m really sad that people still think that way and I’m glad that PSG believe in me.”

A deadline set by the LFP, the governing body in France for Friday Midnight (04/08/17) was missed. It was a requirement to submit the international transfer certificate so that Neymar would be allowed to to play the opening game.
But some of those at La Liga, may have done their best to prevent Neymar’s move to PSG when they initially rejecting the release clause payment and did not send the paperwork over to their French counterparts in time.

He arrived in Paris by private jet on Friday and was greeted by PSG officials and hundreds of supporters. At PSG’s shop on the Champs-Élysées, more than 1,000 fans queued to buy a PSG shirt of their new Number 10.

Neymar is to be paraded around the pitch before to kick-off to give the supporters a glimpse of the new legend arriving at PSG. He is going to be well worth the wait.
