Manchester United have signed Harry Maguire from Leicester City Football club for a world record fee for a defender of £80 million pounds.
The 26-year-old has agreed a six-year contract at Old Trafford, with the option of another added year.
The fee for Maguire is more than the £75m Liverpool paid Southampton for Virgil van Dijk in January 2018.
Maguire is the second most expensive signing in English top-flight history after new team-mate Paul Pogba signed for £89m from Juventus in 2016. Harry also becomes the second most expensive British player after Wales winger Gareth Bale joined Real Madrid from Tottenham in 2013 for £85m. He is third summer signing for manager Ole Gunnar Solskjaer.
