This Japanese Electric Hypercar called the Aspak Owl has smashed all records for hitting 60mph beating records set by Formula 1 racing cars. This is said to be the first street-legal electric car to reach the top speed in just 1.9 seconds. It beats the Tesla’s Model S – which became the fastest-accelerating production car in the world last year reaching 60mph in 2.5 seconds. It’s faster than the Bugatti Chiron – 60mph in 2.3 seconds and the Lamborghini Aventador in 2.7 seconds.
The Japanese car is powered by a combination of batteries and supercapacitors which makes it capable of driving for 93 miles on a single charge. You don’t want to go anywhere to far in this car.
Aspark said it only plans to produce 50 of these hypercars costing just over £3,000,000.
Future versions of the car will be able to hit the same zero to 60mph time with street legal tyres.
