Istanbul Turkey

Istanbul is a city in Turkey that bridges Europe and Asia across the Bosphorus river. The Old City is rich in culture and has the influence of the many empires that once ruled here. In the Sultanahmet district, the open-air, Roman-era Hippodrome was for centuries the site of chariot races, and Egyptian obelisks remain. The iconic Byzantine Hagia Sophia features a soaring dome and Christian mosaics which is across the mighty Sultan Ahmet blue mosque that stands tall and mighty watching over Istanbul. There is a great atmosphere in this city and one that comes over you in a calm, pleasing way. The city is filled with great places to eat, museums, mosques, the Grand Bazaar to shop and pick up as many bargains as you can and much more.
