Get your dream body with these cardio secrets

We all want a great body with rock hard abs and just about everybody is into fitness in this day and age. People are jogging and hitting the gym 3-5 times a week hoping to get into shape and get that body they have been dreaming off. Some people have been at the gym for a while and been doing all the right cardio but they feel that its taking a long time for them to lose weight.

Doing normal cardio training is very good and you lose calories the longer you are running on the treadmill. Doing this cardio with different gradients over a period of time will burn of the fat. But there is something called High Intensity Training (HIIT) that can lose more calories and burn more fat over the same period of time.

“In research, HIIT has been shown to burn adipose tissue more effectively than low-intensity exercise – up to 50% more efficiently.

A recent study compared participants who did steady-state cardio for 30 minutes three times a week to those who did 20 minutes of high-intensity interval training (HIIT) three times per week.

Both groups showed similar weight loss, but the HIIT group showed a 2 percent loss in body fat while the steady-state group lost only 0.3 percent. The HIIT group also gained nearly two pounds of muscle, while the steady-state group lost almost a pound.”

High intensity training is basically working as hard as you can for a set period of time, then taking a short break and then going back at it again giving it all you can. You repeat this per exercise.

There was a Rugby player called Gavin Henson and what he used to do to get into shape was High Intensity Training. He would sprint 10m, then walk 10m and would repeat this for a number of sets. This was the most effective way to get into shape.

So guys HIIT is a great way to burn more fat and should be incorporated into your gym exercises to get maximum results. Make sure you are responsible and safe.
