Ford’s new amazing hatchback the Ford Focus ST

This new Ford Focus ST is a much needed hot hatchback and one that is truly handsome. Ford’s hot Focus has joined the rest of the range in having a mid-life facelift that makes it look more like a sporty hatchback withs its sweeping design and less like the rest of the crowd. This is a fast and exciting car to drive and we have picked the 2.0litre manual EcoBoost model that can do 0-62mph in 6.5 seconds. Its great value for money priced at £22,745. The interior has been revamped and is looking a lot better with a sportier steering wheel, leather finished seats, sat nav and overall quality finishes. This is a great car, not the fastest hatchback out there but one that is very good, mind you it only comes with 5 doors and not 3.

This is one of the nicest hatchbacks we have seen. The Ford Focus ST has been given a touch up to make it look more sporty. The contours on the bonnet along with streamlined headlights and the ST badge on the grille make this car stand out. The attraction of this car is the rear, the new exhaust shape and the spoiler on the car are stunning.  Overall 10/10.

Every aspect of the Focus ST is designed with your comfort and convenience in mind. As every technology and feature exists to make life easier, you can concentrate on enjoying the performance of the car. A new three-spoke steering wheel has been ergonomically designed specifically for the Ford Focus ST. Every button and control is at your fingertips and the position of the wheel improves both the usability and visibility of your car’s instrument panel.

SYNC 3 is Ford’s most advanced has free technology version to date. It’s faster and easier to use, with enhanced voice commands and even more functionality. The new interface has larger buttons for improved usability, and the 8” Touchscreen now features pinch-and-swipe gestures found on smartphones and tablets for even more intuitive navigation. SYNC 3 also features AppLink, Apple’s CarPlay and Android Auto, to display your smartphone’s information on the touchscreen.

There are 2 engine options petrol and diesel:-  the 2.0-litre, 250PS EcoBoost petrol engine delivers (in the 5-door model) a 0-62mph, time of just 6.5 seconds and a top speed of 154 mph (limited). This lightweight aluminium engine is ultra-responsive and exceptionally efficient: providing swift acceleration through the gears and maximum torque available from just 2000 RPM.

The 2.0-litre, 185PS TDCi engine is available in both PowerShift and manual transmissions. The powerful engine can propel your Focus ST 5-door from 0-62 mph in 7.7 seconds (PowerShift) and onward to a top speed of 135 mph (limited). Peak power is developed at 3,500 rpm and 400 Nm of torque is available from 2,000- 2,750 rpm. This torque output enables impressive in-gear acceleration and strong performance at low rpm.

An illuminated arrow, Gear shift indicator (GSI) on the instrument panel tells you when to change gear, to enable eco driving for maximum fuel efficiency.
