Everywhere you look in this day and age fitness seems to be the number one trend. Everybody is going to the gym and getting in shape ready for the summer and their holidays. So we try to look for information to help us get into shape. When looking through the internet you find so much information promising you that if you use these rules, buy this book or these products that you will instantly get rock hard, ripped abs in this amount of time. They are mostly lies.

Nothing is more conducive to getting rock hard abs as you, your determination and you deep desire of getting that body that you have always dreams of. So with your desire and determination how do you go about getting that body that you have always wanted.

The secret to getting six pack abs is not in any book, pill or product but in DIET. It’s all about what you eat and how much you eat. Are you eating the right foods and are you eating because your hungry or just for pleasure? These are questions we need to ask ourselves and if we are serious about getting abs we will eat the right amount of foods in a balanced way (never go extreme or too severe in diet find the middle way) and workout to get our abs rock hard.

1. Eat lean Protein

Eating protein rich foods will build muscle and burn fat. Your body uses carbohydrates to break down protein. Protein such as read meats should have some fat on them. Eating the right amount of protein along with cutting out things like cakes, crisps, bread, high carb foods and other high sugary/carbohydrate foods will help you lose fat quickly.

2. Eat carbs in moderation

You should eat carbs an you need them to function. But the kinds of carbs you eat and how much matters. When working out you need carbs to help grow muscle, so on the days you work out incorporate carbs into your diet. On the days where you are resting control what you eat and even fast on Mondays and Thursdays to help with losing weight only if you can. Fasting also proves to rejuvenate the body and its organs. Good carbs are like sweet potato, oatmeal and brown rice.

3. Eat the right kind of fats

Eating the right fats such has nuts and peanut butters is much better than eating burgers and pizzas and it is healthier for the body and helps the body keep balanced. Eating these in moderation help the body fight off infections and keep you healthy. So don’t be afraid to add these in moderation to your diet.

4. Leave Cardio For weight training

Do you that you burn more calories lifting weights than running on a treadmill. With weight lifting your building muscle and losing weight. The more muscle you have the more calories you burn. If choosing to do cardio then do something like boxing which high intensity short interval training or the like, that burns more fat than any other cardio method.

5. You don’t have to do thousands of ab exercises

Doing just ab exercises is not enough in getting rock hard abs. Some people assume that if you only do ab exercises and nothing else you will get abs. Getting abs is not that simple, you have to control what you eat and how much you eat. You also should have a solid workout regime that incorporates high intensity training with compound exercises that have weights. This way you will lose body fat and see those abs that you have been dreaming of.

That’s the secret to getting abs nothing but hard work, desire and dedication. Save your money on those pills and books and spend time on yourself and getting ready to embark on getting those all elusive abs.
