10 things you must do when visiting London

London is one of the biggest and most popular cities in the world. It is a global player and is on the map for being vibrant, colourful and diverse with so many things to do and see. It is very famous for Buckingham Palace where the Royal Family (Queen Elizabeth II) stay and London is a great place to get a taste of British culture. London is always busy and has many things going on every month from fashion shows to sports events. There are so many luxury places to stay, eat, shop and see. So if you are planning a trip to London check out these 10 things you must do when visiting London.
10] The Real London
This is a chance to see the real London by visiting the old pubs, flea and street markets. There are so many bargains to be picked up, great street food to be had and loads to see. Camden Market is one of these famous places and you could get carries away for hours with all the things to do. You should try and visit these places if you get the chance as there is a great atmosphere.
9] City Cruises and the London eye
You should go on a River Thames cruise to see London’s main riverside attractions by boat. You’ll see the city’s great contrasts as you pass historic sites such as Big Ben, St. Paul’s Cathedral and the Tower of London, and contemporary landmarks like the Tate Modern and the sleek Millennium Bridge.
The London Eye is a landmark and you should ride it if you get the chance. It takes 30 minutes to go all the way round, there are 32 capsules (one for each London borough). Each one weighs 10 tonnes and can carry 25 passengers, they are air-conditioned, with seats and passengers can walk around.

There are always shows, events and concerts going on in London all year round and world famous venues. There are theatre shows, pop concerts and sports events going on all you have to do is take your pick. London has great sports teams like Arsenal, Tottenham Hotspur, Chelsea and more and you can go and watch their home games if you wish.

London is well know for its public transport and when coming to London you need to get the full London experience. You should ride the tube for where you stay to where you want to go, make sure you check with your hotel on what is the best way to do this and at what time. You could also get a black cab and ride the city buses for an all round experience.
4] Site Seeing
You have to go and look around when you are in London. There are so many places to see. You can start with Buckingham Palace home of Queen Elizabeth II and walk along The Mall (long stretch of road in front of the palace). You could go and see Big Ben, Parliament, Trafalgar square, the shard and so much more. It is worth going around at least once while your in London.

When you come to London you have to go shopping. London is a leading fashion city and a major play in the fashion world. There are so many high-end, luxury items available for all style and tastes. There is the worlds famous Oxford street with its more affordable shopping stores and some well know luxury stores like Selfridges. There is Bond Street for the finest designers and Knightsbridge with the worlds famous Harrods. Be sure to have a good look around.

1] Wimbledon (Tennis event)

Wimbledon is one of the oldest and most prestigious Tennis tournaments in the world. It is held in an area known as Wimbledon in South London and is played every July. It is one of the most sought after event and we British look forward to it every summer. Tickets are limited so try and visit if you can during this period. Strawberries and cream, cool drinks and summer is in full flow at this time of year.
